Mango

Mangifera Indica, scientific name of Mango Tree. The mango is the National Fruit of India, and also the National tree of Bangladesh. It is mostly cultivated in South and Southeast Asia. The trees are long lived, grows upto 98-131 ft. Tall. Mangoes are generally sweet, have a soft, pulpy juicy texture whereas few varieties have fibrous texture. Mangoes are used in many cuisines, like Chutneys, Pickles, Aam Panna, Lassi, Shakes, Murabba and many more differ with cultures and states. A raw mango is 84% water, 15% carbohydrates, 1% protein, and has negligible fat. Fresh Mango contains only 44% Vitamin C and 11% folate.
