Apple

Apple is a deciduous tree and is an edible Fruit cultivated worldwide. Different cultivators have different tastes and uses that include cooking, cider production, and eating raw. The trees are generally 6 to 15 ft tall. The fruit matures in late summer or autumn. Many apples grow through seeds but grafting is usually used. Apples can be stored for a few months in controlled atmosphere chambers. Some varieties of Apples have more than three times the storage life of others. Some can be stored upto a year.
A raw apple is 86% water and 14% carbohydrates, with negligible content of Fat and Protein. 100 grams of apple provides 52 calories and a moderate content of dietary fiber. Apple seed oil is obtained by pressing apple seeds for manufacturing cosmetics.
